Silence

I have long been away.  

My silence is likely expected by most of my longer term readers, but for those of you who might be new to me, my apologies on the sudden disappearance.   Normally, my explanation goes something like this:  "I didn't feel inspired to write, so I didn't."  This time, however, my silence is due to other factors. 

For once, I have too much to say and don't know how to say it. 

The US experienced an election that didn't go the way many of us wanted. 

The Palesitinian injustices continue. 

California burns. 

Housing is unaffordable for many.

Income inequity continues. 

Access to quality healthcare - affordably - is denied to the majority. 

I could go on.  Because there is plenty to talk about. 

But silence.   There are too many people giving opinions. Too many pundits offering commentary. Too many religious leaders pontificating. Too many warmongers justifying horrors beyond our imagination.  I'm tired of all this noise. 

I am opting for silence for a while.
