The Evolution of Death - Emerging Insights from the Field of Consciousness Studies and Psychiatry

When I said goodbye to my father in 2009, I was profoundly impacted by what I perceived to be his loss.  The journey into grief set me on a path that I'd never thought I'd take, though, and it has led me to places I'd never thought I'd see. I'm grateful. 

One of these places, as it turns out, was to an ayahuasca ceremony in a place called Napo, Ecuador. If you don't know what ayahuasca is, look it up.  I've referenced these technologies before here, but I don't want to go into that now because this is about something different.   Anyway, the ceremony was most enlightening, and I made a friend during my visit.  It has turned to be a lengthy association - mostly by correspondence - that has both challenged and educated me in ways I am sure I would not have experienced anywhere else. 

During our numerous correspondences, my friend from Napo has mentioned some personal supranatural experiences - like an encounter with a muki. A muki is a cryptid-like creature whose presence is generally limited to experiences in the Central Andes, with its habitat generally being inside mines or deep caves.  Experiences of this type are common in this region, and it is not at all out of ordrinary for me to find mentions of these experiences by my friend or
